The series of three seminars that have been long awaited are slotted to begin on May 17th and the internship applicants need to apply before May 16th. First choice must go to METS Students but I welcome all-- but you must come to interview with me.
All prospective students who will rejoin the internship in September are expected to attend the seminars which will provide the backbone of the expected work to be done over the summer in preparation for the start of the program in September. There will be a total of 10 to 11 visitations to the Saatchi and Saatchi location starting in the final week of September and ending in the first week in June of 2014. All grade 10 and 11 students must attend the May/June Seminars in 2013 and participate in the Summer Summit Experience in order to participate fully in the full year internship in the fall.
All participants must see Ms. Ballard for a pre-interview before May 16th in order to participate in the program and internship. GPA and conduct grades will be discussed with Ms. Ballard--as part of the interview. The grade 11 students (as of next year--currently in grade 10 now) will do a two year internship and the grade 12 students (next year--currently in grade 11 now) will do a one year internship. Returning students have the advantage over new applicants. Email Ms. Ballard at jballard@lbschools.net or come to see me in room 132 anytime but period 6. Thank you everyone!!!!! Remember this is the only internship of this kind in California, please take advantage of it and treat this with the respect and focus the program deserves. You should have a strong interest in graphic design, advertising, viral or video production work, special effects technology, marketing and or course advertising and advertising design! Ms. B
