Dear Poly Students and Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to the 2016-2017 Academic Year! As summer is coming to an end, we are ready to provide comprehensive academic and extracurricular programs for all of our students. We have been busy this summer with Advanced Placement Summer Bridge courses and faculty professional development trainings, as we expand Honors and AP courses school-wide to provide our students with a rigorous education and prepare them for college. New computers are being installed throughout our campus. Our athletic programs are getting ready for Moore League/CIF competitions. New teachers are joining our staff, and we welcome all of our students and especially our incoming Jackrabbits this school year!
We are proud to announce that 100% of the graduating Class of 2016 have a post high school destination, for higher education, college, military, or a career training program. Scholarship money for our graduating Class of 2016 was over $31 million dollars. We continue to provide resources for all of our students. Our Career Center is available to students daily, along with our Activities Office, Counseling Office, and Library. Students are encouraged to access resources, ask questions and challenge themselves in and outside of the classroom.
This packet includes valuable information regarding policies, dates, and activities for the school year. Your students will receive a folder on Registration Day that will have important Poly information including: Academic Integrity, ASB, Athletics, Attendance, Counseling, Discipline Policies, Schoolloop, Student ID's, Tardies, etc. There are many opportunities to become involved at Poly and we look forward to seeing you around campus.
Poly is the "Home of Scholars and Champions" and we are very proud of our rich traditions and look forward to educating your son/daughter. We are very excited to begin another GREAT year at Poly High School!
