EARTH DAY CLEAN-UP
Volunteer to help out at the Earth Day Clean-up through the City of Long Beach on Saturday, April 19th from 9-11am at the Belmont Pier. Help keep our oceans clean and healthy. STOMP ON THE ROOF
Arts & Services for Disabled and Community Hospital of Long Beach, 1720 Termino Avenue, will be hosting the second annual Stomp on the Roof Festival Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 from 11am to 3pm in Long Beach! The purpose of the festival is to bring available resources to Long Beach residents, to bring awareness of the talents and capabilities of people managing mental health and developmental disabilities and to support and educate the families who love them. They will have a "Run Walk & Roll", drum circles, live music, drum art, food trucks, and many organizations providing information about their services. They are looking for volunteers to help set up, check-in/greet, and help with tear down after the event, among other tasks from 9am - 4pm. MINNIE GANT SCHOOL CARNIVAL
Minnie Gant Elementary needs volunteers to help out with their carnival on Saturday, May 17th anytime from 8am to 5pm. COMPUTER TUTORS NEEDED
Long Beach Brethren Manor is a senior apartment complex with a large computer room and many seniors who are learning how to do e-mail, Facebook and how to surf the web. One-on-one tutoring by student volunteers has been very successful. If you would like to volunteer, they would love to have you! WRAP PROGRAM LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
