Yellow Ribbon Week

"The Yellow Ribbon program was founded in 1994 by the parents of a bright, funny, loving teen, Mike Emme, who took his life when he did not know the words to say, or how to let someone know he was in trouble and needed help."

Long Beach Poly instituted the Yellow Ribbon Program in the fall of 2004.  Each year, students attend an assembly that explains what the program is about.  Students are introduced to counselors and other adults at school who can provide help! More information about the program.
